Terms of Service

1. Who we are

2. What you are buying

You are buying a purely symbolic, decorative title: your chosen display name, optional link, optional tagline and optional logo are shown on this website as the current "King of the World" until someone else pays double.

The purchase explicitly does NOT grant you:

  • any property, ownership or intellectual-property right of any kind;
  • any authority, power, office, status or representation over anyone or anything;
  • any right over the domain, the website, the brand or the code;
  • any equity, share, revenue split or financial instrument;
  • any guarantee of traffic, clicks, visibility, SEO benefit, backlink value or ROI;
  • any advertising service, campaign, placement guarantee or minimum exposure;
  • any guaranteed duration of display — see section 3.

3. Dethroning

The crown is transferred automatically to the next person who completes a payment of exactly double the amount paid by the current King. Your reign may therefore last minutes or months. There is no minimum reign time and no compensation for a short reign.

4. Pricing and payment

Prices are in euro (EUR) and are shown before payment. Payment is a one-time payment processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card data. The crown is assigned only when Stripe confirms the payment to our server. If two people attempt to buy at the same time, only the first confirmed payment is crowned; a payment that arrives for a price or a King that is no longer current is not crowned and is refunded in full.

5. Refunds and withdrawal

The service is digital content delivered immediately. By checking the boxes at checkout you request immediate performance and, where applicable, acknowledge the loss of the statutory right of withdrawal once the crown is assigned. Outside of that, there is no automatic refund for a dethroning, a short reign or a change of mind. Refunds required by mandatory consumer law remain unaffected, as do refunds of payments we could not crown (section 4). Requests: koftheworld007@gmail.com.

6. Content and moderation

You are responsible for the name, link, tagline and image you submit and you confirm you have the right to use them. We may, at our sole discretion and without refund, hide an image, remove a link or tagline, rename a record or ban an entry that is illegal, hateful, deceptive, malware-bearing, sexually explicit, infringing or otherwise harmful. Links are published with rel="nofollow ugc".

7. Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your most recent purchase. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes and law

We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published here. These terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Last updated: 27 August 2026.
